Vision of Humanity is an initiative of the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP), the world’s leading think tank on quantifying the economic value of peace. Taking the notion of peace out of the spheres of philosophy and spirituality, the Institute grounds it in numbers that provide a strategic approach and make possible the development and implementation of practical solutions.

Vision of Humanity groups together a number of interrelated initiatives focused on global peace which are supported by a wide range of philanthropists, business people, politicians, religious leaders and intellectuals. Its website disseminates factual, positive and solution based information on the major issues facing us in the 21st century. Pay them a visit here.

Among the many interesting things I found there was this link to the United Nations’ survey for a better world. Do pop in and vote to have your voice heard. It takes less than one minute.

For a quick video introduction to the organization, please see the Sweet Songs page here.

I would love to hear what you think about Vision of Humanity and the idea of quantifying peace.

How does your country fare? How do you feel about your government’s involvement in peace initiatives?

Do you think your voice matters or that you can do anything locally to encourage peace? Have you ever taken action personally? Would you initiate or take part in a peace initiative?
